Ways You Can Help End Puppy Mills in Missouri

Please submit your comments to the USDA supporting stronger standards of care for dogs confined in puppy mills.

The USDA is currently accepting public comments on potential updates to regulations governing the care and treatment of dogs in commercial breeding facilities, particularly female breeding dogs. This is an important opportunity to advocate for stronger protections, as current federal standards largely focus on basic survival rather than ensuring humane treatment.

Your voice matters. Puppy mill operators across the country are already submitting large numbers of comments opposing stronger regulations. Public support is essential to ensure that improved standards are adopted.

Stronger USDA regulations would significantly improve oversight and care for dogs in commercial breeding facilities, including many located in Missouri.
