Meet Maxie

Maxie’s story began with uncertainty. In December 2019, she was listed on Craigslist by an owner who no longer had time to care for her. As a young dog, she had spent much of her life confined to a small kennel, timid, shy, and underweight when her new family found her.

With only a microchip to guide them, they traced her back to Petland in Lake St. Louis and discovered her birthday, August 28, the same as their other puggle, Barney. It felt like she was meant to be part of their family.

With time, patience, and love, Maxie transformed into a happy, healthy, and affectionate dog. Now seven years old, she’s thriving—smart, playful, and deeply loved.
